Editorial Standards

Business Radar exists to report on how people make money online — the operators, platforms, business models, and regulatory environment shaping the modern internet economy. The standards below define what we do, what we will not do, and how we expect our work to be judged.

Independence

Business Radar is published by Business Radar Media LLC, a self-funded independent media company. We do not accept outside investment from companies or individuals we cover. We do not accept payment from companies in exchange for editorial coverage of any kind — including reviews, rankings, roundups, mentions, profiles, and analysis.

Editorial decisions are made by our editors. Coverage decisions are not influenced by relationships, gifts, advertising potential, or commercial interest.

Sourcing

Every factual claim in a Business Radar article ties to one of the following:

  • A primary document — filing, contract, court record, regulatory action, earnings excerpt, public statement, or financial record.
  • A named source speaking on the record with a verifiable position.
  • An on-background source whose role and reason for anonymity are described in the article.
  • A survey, dataset, or analysis whose methodology is disclosed.

We do not publish anonymous testimonials. We do not quote unnamed "industry insiders" without context. When a source asks to speak on background, we explain why in the piece.

Verification

Claims that can be checked against documents are checked. Numbers attributed to operators, vendors, or platforms are confirmed with at least one of the following: the named party, a regulatory record, a financial filing, or an independent source with first-hand knowledge.

Screenshots of revenue, traffic, or earnings are treated as starting points for reporting, not as evidence. We do not republish income claims without independent corroboration.

Conflicts of interest

Our editors disclose any financial or personal relationship with companies they cover. When a relationship would compromise coverage, the article is reassigned. When disclosure is sufficient, it is published with the article.

Editors do not hold equity in companies they cover, accept consulting income from companies they cover, or take gifts, trips, or paid hospitality from companies they cover.

Use of AI

Business Radar uses AI as a research and editing assistant — for transcript handling, source cross-referencing, summarization of long documents, and editorial review. Final articles are written and edited by our named editors. AI does not generate publishable copy on its own.

We do not use AI-generated images of real people, AI-generated quotes, or AI-generated data. Any visual generated with AI assistance is labeled.

Corrections

We correct errors transparently. The full corrections policy is available on our corrections page.

Fair comment and right of reply

Companies and individuals who are the subject of critical coverage are given the opportunity to respond before publication. When a request for comment is declined or unanswered, the article says so.

After publication, subjects who believe coverage contains factual errors can request a correction. Disagreement with our characterization or analysis is not grounds for correction, but we publish reasoned responses when they add to the public record.

Anonymous tips and source protection

We accept tips on background. We do not disclose source identities under any circumstances unless the source has authorized disclosure or the information has been independently and publicly attributed elsewhere.
